Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, Maria Rojas lives and works between England and northern Italy.
"I work in series. Each painting is like a diary of an idea, a daily journey. One painting feeds the next painting the same way sometimes a word feeds the next word in poetry. I continue to paint until I feel the series is completed, then I start another one. My work is about how far my imagination can take me, about feelings of places never visited, moments of silence."
